Here is what we were going to be up to during the break, you can find this in my 2012 planner under, "Winter Break Bucket List":
1. Organize martha's-this might need some explanation. I love love love Martha Stewart Living (to this most people say "you love a convicted felon , and to them I reply, "I mean imagine going to prison and still being able to pull off having a multi million, if not billion, dollar cooperation to return to, what do you do in your spare time?") There is an ever growing stack of ideas ripped out of the magazines that needs to be filed away in someplace other than that one shelf on the bookcase.
2. Finish mission quilt-yes, I've been home for almost 3 years, and yes the top portion of it was finished before October 2010, and yes it has been sitting on that same bookshelf with martha for the past year and a half.
3. Freezer meals-see below for the reason as to why this will possibly be the only 2013 update, thus the need for quick go to meals
4. Switch planner-pretty self explanatory
5. Read a book
6. Jump start for next semester
7. Do something with fabric on previously mentioned bookshelf.
Here is my report:
1. Not done, not even thumbed through. Only change in martha's status is the fact that I've moved the last 4 issues from the kitchen cupboard to the bookshelf.
2. Thanks to the help of Sister Guymon, the quilt is in the process of being tied, by me, not her
3. done
4. done
5. check, sort of? I gave Seth Enders Game for our anniversary, I had already read it before, but we read the first half together, then while I was falling asleep to him reading I gave up and just let him finish the rest on his own...which he did, that night, until midnight.
6. Failed misserably, still don't even have all my books.
7. Another fail.
Over all it may seem like we didn't do much this break, but on the contrary. We made a coffee table, went bowling, spent a ton of time with the Brackens, went snowboarding twice, Seth finished all the tests and things to apply to be a pilot, we both dominated Andrew Hodges in Ticket to Ride, AND celebrated 2 full years of marriage (now we can finally tell each other, "I've been telling you that for yearS"). Now off we go, back to our daily grind.

You made a coffee table? Cool! Was it hard? I have a couple of pieces that I want to make, just cause I can't find what I want.
